Requests without donations are prioritized to those that cannot afford our suggested donation. If we had the resources to provide additional packs of seed with our suggested donation then we would simply raise the number of seed packs we have resources to provide with your donation. Unfortunately costs for us are rising, but, thankfully, we have been able to keep our suggested donation the same for the last few years.
14. If you donated & did not follow our request instructions please expect less packs, mispicks or other inconsistencies.
Our request instructions exist for a reason & not following them will reduce or even eliminate our ability to fill your request.
15. If you request more than we state we can give with our suggested minimum donation we will fill what we can or, we will leave your request until all pending requests with & without donations are filled so we can accurately determine if we have enough resources to grant your special request. During our busy times this could take a few months. We will usually just fill it with what we know we can provide & have stated we can give, but if you would like your request to wait until we can see if we have resources to fill it, then please add "special request" before your selections. It is not likely we will give multiple varieties that will cross with one another no matter how long you wait. We do this so people can save seeds & grow seeds for free forever. You may also say "anything similar is fine" & if there is a variety available from the same family, we will choose a sub for you
Keep in mind many items like ANH (anise hyssop) have no subs in the same family, so list subs for unique items.
#6-We do not send email confirmation, other than an automated reply which is sent to anyone that emails us.

1. Send us an email as described below. with "No Donation" in the email subject line to FreeHeirloomSeeds@gmail.com
WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FILL REQUESTS WITHOUT DONATIONS IF THE EMAIL SUBJECT DOES NOT SAY "No Donation"
2. The first text in the body of the email needs to be the NAME & address of the recipient, typed just like you write your address on an envelope.
WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FILL REQUESTS WITHOUT DONATIONS THAT DO NOT HAVE A COMPLETE ADDRESS, including NAME, zip code & country, if outside of the US.
3. Below your address enter the codes of your first 5 choices from our free seed list in alphabetical order
4. Next line (below your 5 primary choices) enter the codes of 10 back up selections, also in alphabetical order.

5. If you want to say anything else, put it below your seed request.

Your request without a donation will be more likely to get filled if you choose seeds that are not on our oversized list
Ovesized seeds cost a lot more to ship & it is unlikely we will have the resources to grant those requests.
We strive to send 5 packs of seeds to anyone that asks,
but if you ask for all seeds that will cross pollinate you may only get 3 packs of seed or we may not fill the request.
Please consider growing seeds with proper Isolation so you can have free seeds forever.
We prioritze requests without a donation that are for seeds that will not cross pollinate.
There is no timeline for requests without postage, we fill them in bulk when we have the resources
If you email to inquire about a request without a donation your request will be delayed or deleted.
We fill every properly formatted request in the order received, as long as we have the resources to do so.
If your address is not the first thing in the body of the email your request without a donation will not be filled.
Whether you are experiencing hard times or not, we fill requests without donations in the order received & placing your story before your address will cause your request without a donation to be discarded.
Please follow our request instructions so you can get seeds & we can continue to offer this service.
Your request wihtout a donation should be formatted exactly like this sample below or you will not get seeds.
Multiple requests without a donation made in the same calendar year by the same person or going to the same address may be deleted or blocked.
Please limit envelope requests to one per year & follow the instructions to ensure you get seeds.

REQUEST METHOD #2 - Request Seeds by mail
Clearly & carefully write or type on a piece of paper -
1. The recipient name & mailing address
2. The codes only of the seeds you are requesting from our list, in alphabetical order
3. The codes of your desired substitutes, after your primary list, also in alphabetical order
Do not rely on your return address on the envelope, they get torn, water damaged, etc., include recipient name & address with seed codes.
If you are donating by mail, we accept checks, money orders & cash.

At times, we have hundreds of different vairieties of seed available & they are not all for everyone.

Please just give us the item code, in alphabetical order when making requests.
Please don't copy & paste the whole description,
we have to read through the list & sometimes we have to read it 3 or 4 times to see if we missed something in the paragraphs of descriptions,
which wastes our time & threatens the sustainability of this program.
Requests that are not in alphabetical order are very dificult to fill & should expect some mispicks.
Please help us get these seeds out faster by following our request template.
Putting seed codes in rows of 10 really matters to us!! We expand the screen & walk across the room to select seeds for you
If seeds are not in rows of 10 we have to walk back to the screen & scroll, sometimes multiple times to fill a request.
Please show some kindness for our seed packers & list your codes in rows of 10
Please send us a complete address, including zip code
Email should include the name you used in your paypal account if you made a donation to avoid confusion & help us prioritize your request.
