Many ways you can help!

#1 - Donate seeds! If you have seeds to donate you may send them to -

Free Heirloom Seeds
P.O. Box 26
Greensburg, KY 42743

Our seed donation guidelines are as follows ~
1. Open pollinated seeds only please.
2. Seeds must be dry, cleaned from the rest of the plant, have variety name listed & contain recent germination test results
3. Please include recent germination rates & date of production. Please sprout test homegrown seed before sending. We won't redistribute untested seeds.
4. We also ask you to self certify if the seeds were grown with recommended isolation from similar species to avoid cross contamination.
Please state the actual known distance of any potentially cross pollinating varieties.
5. If the above criteria are not met, please do not send seeds to us.
6. We will accept surplus seeds that were acquired from professional sellers in their original packaging, but please, open pollinated seeds only

People often ask us what seeds we need grown, here is the list -

~ Any open pollinated seeds not on our list
~ Any seed on our list marked "Limited" in our description

#4. Grow seeds out for us!

We are always looking for people to help produce our next run of seeds.
It may be easier than you think to make a difference in the world.
It's as simple as requesting some free seeds & growing only a single variety of a given species(example: 1 type of watermelon)
It's also important that no one else is growing that variety nearby.
Once you have produced some seed, give them a germination test & see our instructions above for donating seed.
Thank you!!

#5 - Get involved with our Species Preservation Initiative!

It is easier than you can imagine to become the steward of a species.
Choose a species variety & commit to keeping it going

#6 - Share our link & tell your friends!!!

Such a simple thing can do so much good.
Thank You!!
